DANVILLE VS. NORTH MONTGOMERY Game Time: 7 p.m. Place: North Montgomery Records: North Montgomery is 3-5 (2-4) after beating Frankfort 35-6; Danville is 8-0 (6-0) after beating Western Boone 14-6 First Meeting: Nov. 5, 1993 (Danville won 35-16 in a sectional game) Last Meeting: Sept. 16, 2016 (Danville won 23-0) Last 10 Meetings: North Montgomery leads 6-4 Last North Montgomery Win: Sept. 18, 2015 when North Montgomery won 49-12 Overall Series: Danville leads 11-9 Games at North Montgomery: Danville leads 6-4 Notes: These two schools are meeting for 21st time with the first two meetings of the series being in sectional play in 1993 and 1994… This has been one of the closest series on the Chargers’ schedule… The longest winning streak in the series has been three and North Montgomery did that from 2008-10 and again from 2013-15… Seven of the previous 20 meetings has been decided by seven points of less and four games have been decided by a single point and another game has been decided by two points… Last year’s shutout by Danville is the only shutout in the series… Danville has assured itself of at least a share of the conference title and can win it outright with a win… Danville has won its last 13 conference games in a row… Danville senior QB Toby Hiland has had a great season so far completing 88 of 129 passes for 1,852 yards and 29 touchdowns and just three interceptions… Alex Skinner is the leading rusher for the Warriors as he has rushed for 697 yards and 123 carries and eight scores, while Chandler Schubert has gained 526 yards on 64 carries and five TDs… The top receiver for the Warriors in senior Ben Stevens who has 35 catches for 836 yards and 13 TDs, while Alec Burton has 27 catches for 338 yards and nine scores… North Montgomery is led by senior quarterback Collin Knecht who has completed 83 of 164 passes for 1,098 yards and seven touchdowns and six interceptions through seven games… Knecht is also the leading rusher with 461 yards on 106 carries and a team-high eight touchdowns and Bryce Claycomb has rushed for 428 yards on 76 carries and four scores…
