First Meeting: Sept. 3, 1971 (Southmont won 31-0, first game in the school’s history) Last Meeting: Aug. 26, 2016 (North Putnam won 12-6) Last 10 Meetings: North Putnam has won 6 of 10 Last Southmont Win: Aug. 29, 2014 when Southmont won 28-14 Overall Series: Southmont leads 26-20 Games at North Putnam: Southmont leads 13-9 Notes: These two schools have played every year since Southmont opened in 1971… A total of 12 of the 46 previous meetings have been decided by seven points or less, but just one of the last 14 have been that close (last year)… Southmont has averaged 20 points in the previous 46 against North Putnam, while giving up 16… In last week’s tough 18-14 loss, Southmont’s first two touchdowns of the season came through the air… Hunter Chadwick threw for 185 yards in the opener… Southmont also rushed for 135 yards in the opener… Southmont’s last win at North Putnam came on Aug. 30, 2013 when the Mounties earned an 18-0 win.
